Has anyone ever snared marten, I want to catch some but don't have any in the mountains where I live, so I want to use snares if possible so that I don't have to check them as often as foot hold traps. Any advise would be great, I have never trapped them and would like to catch some just to say I have caught some.

I haven't used snares on them but can't you use body grippers there? Here we have a 3 day check law. They seem to be pretty delicate and thin skinned I would think a snare would be not the best option.
