I never buy fish oil, but I eat a lot of sardines and canned salmon. I drain off all the juices and freeze them. By the time trapping season comes, I've usually got close to a gallon of fish oil... juice.
I dilute it with cheap cooking oil (whatever's on sale). I mix about 1/3 fish to 2/3 cooking oil. It goes a long ways by diluting it and with the oil lasts quite awhile when it squirt on the ground. I use a flat ketchup bottle to squirt it. I like to use it as a drawing or trailing scent for coon.

Good idea. We save alot of kitchen/garden/canning scraps for trapping.
