"are you gonna post it or am I gonna have to kick your butt?" A butt kickin from a girl....now, that would be embarrassing! But, then considering who the girl is... maybe not. ;D

I just got off wildgrown.com. A person on there said his buyer in IL told him he thought the price of ginseng will go up. He said he felt it will top out in December at $800.

I hope neither. I may head to WI next week to sell mine. Once trapping season opens I won't have time to sell it.

A person from Kentucky said there was a buyer from there paying $455 a pound.
Another guy said he just sold his for $425 per pound. His buyer told him he expected it would level off at that price for a few weeks, then start to drop.
I haven't sold mine yet, but will probably soon. I have around 10 pounds dry.

At 455 a lb. it is a good bit more per lb. than I sold a 100 lbs. for last night. Minnesota seng might bring 455 if your lucky. I ain't heard of anybody in KY paying over 400 on seng. I am paying 400 to 425 for Ind. seng.

On wildgrown.com, I asked if anyone knew the going rate they were paying in WI. One person said he was calling around and prices varied from $450 to $500.

The 400 range on seng is about correct. I am paying 410 to 425. The 460 on Ill. seng is something I would have to see to believe. 450 to 500 on Wisconsin Minnesota seng coul,d be possible. But when you get into the common typ seng, I still would like to know who is offering 500 to the digger.

don im sorry. i called the buyer and forgot to post what he told me.he said right now hes paying 440.00 but coulds go up to 500 in the next couple weeks. hes negotiating a contract for some seng and if it comes through he'll pay a little more for wild seng to get the order filled.

Thanks Cathryn. I doubt you will ever see this guy pay 500 nor anybody else unless they are in the good seng areas. Wis, Minn, and the carolinas are about the best. Lots of people like to toot their horn and brag a lot. Just like the fur bussiness.
