I always seem to find them early in the fall. i have never shot enough fox squirrels to know if they have them as bad as greys or not.

we used to have a lot of them in cattle, before the pour on wormers came around. in cattle it hurt the hide more than the meat, because the larvae didn't penetrate the meat, usually just was in the bark fat on the cattle. In a squirrel, people always said just to cut that part out, i was hesitant to do so.

I'm with you earl. I never shot a squirrel that had em before, and I hate to waste something I have killed. But if I shot a squirrel with warbles, it would be left behind.

If i cut out enough to feel good about it it wouldn't hardly be anything left.

I started treating all my squirrels with "Ivomec" in July, gets rid of the worms and wolves, but sometimes its hard to get em through the working chute to vaccinate em

HA - she knew I hunted and fished when we got married - but this trapping thing is new. She doesn't mind, but neither of us was fully prepared for the "aromas" that go along with trapping. ;D
