OK I get the first thread. What kind of cabinets do you have in your kitchen. I have Hickory, along with Hickory base board, window trim, crown molding in all of the house. I have Hickory cabinets in my bathrooms also. It's mighty pretty wood.

My cabinets are offwhite thermafoil. It is a fairly big kitchen for me. I am in the starting the crown molding this weekend. I will try to get a couple pics

cabinets..........? i have 2x4 shelfs that i put my plate and cup and beer mugs on, and a screw or two in the wall to hang my cookin pot and spoon on.

Clear Alder cabinets, Knotty Alder Millwork, w/ cherry 9 pannel doors I made in my shop.

I We have cherry cabinets. Luv em, cherry mantle in connected family room. Very sassified. ;D

earl - I agree with the cherry -grain pattern is nice and it takes stain very well. I took all the alder from my farm - I didn't have enough boardfoot to do the entire house. Wish I could have

My cabinets have 40 coats of paint on them.
Grandmother in law believed in painting every year.
When we moved into the place first thing they told me was to not strip the paint off or I'd be there for years trying.

elk - I'm sure there are many coats of lead based paint - carefull if'n you have young ones

Mine are red oak. Raised panel doors. I have my own cabinet shop, so I aint in debt neither!
