Mom had a super secret whizbang recipe with brown sugar, karo syrup, REAL maple syrup, and some cow's butter. You could feel your arteries snappin' shut, and the enamel dissolving off of your teeth, but it was GOOD!

Those are the only ingredients mom used in hers. Just play around with it till you get it the way you like it. Kinda like making lure or bait.

i doubled the maple flavoring. dont add it till after you get done cooking the syrup and its beginning to cool down. if you add it while its boiling it will just cook away the maple flavoing.
Ingredients:
1 cup-sized chunk brown sugar 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1 cup white sugar 1 cup water 1 tsp. maple flavoring
Directions:
Boil until temperature is 200°F on candy thermometer. Cool and serve.
