Jerrys trapping in the northern part of the state thos week,i couldnt go cause of dad , right outside PA and has found several dead coon in the woods of no apparent reason. the WMA manager said hes seen several dead on the WMA since July. he thinks its distemper. any of you PA guys notice any dead coon in the woods or experienceing and off catch this early in the year?

My catch is WAY down from last year with coon..
Maybe thats why Scancy pants cant catch a coon ? ;D

Only dead ones I see are on the road....... I scoop em up and ship to sammy so he can take pictures.

this place im talking about, last year in 6 nights and it snowed one of those nights we caught 56 coon.
so far in 5 nights this year hes caught 23.
the coon up there are huige too compared to down here with 2/3rds of them stretching 4xl.
thats why our average was so good for our area last year.
some of those big coon broguht more than some of his beaver.

I had a rabid one try to come in my deer blind 3 years ago... 35 Rem ended that conversation.

We're gettin our first cold snap today.......if there is any around...........and I am betting there is................... they will show up this week.
With the numbers of coon we have here............ distemper and parvo runs rampant every year.
