its been real cold and icy here so i haven't had any traps out the last couple days but it warmed up today and it isnt gonna get to cold tonight, its supposed to be in the 30s, so me and Alexys went and set some traps so wed be ready.
in the one run we set there were mink tracks on a snow covered rock. its also a prime location for coon even though i didn't see any coon tracks so we set 2 traps along it.the tracks had to have been made last night because it snowed yesterday enough to cover the ice we already had.
i know the minks on a run and wont be back for while but maybe theres another one around.
i also made a set at the other end of the run at the other end of the field for a coon, figured they might be going up from the big crick and i might get lucky and get one there.
i went to the lower end of this farm and set on some gray fox and raccoon sign.these were fresh tracks from last night along the frozen edge of the crick. Alexys is excited to go check tomorrow. i hope we have something because she helped me make these sets. she lured them and helped to dig the pockets.
i made some other sets on a couple different places while she played along the edge of the crick throwing rocks.
jerry got in 44 sets today but he set from about 10 am till dark so he should do real good tomorrow.
I'm taking the camera when we check tomorrow so if we caught anything ill take some pics.

Shaggy has a good point...if there is a good food source where the sign is......that ole mink has no reason to travel........they are eatin machines......until they get horned up....they will stay where the food is.
