Got my first coon in a 220 today. Will be my 8th coon for this season. Checked sets at bout 8:30, live trap was flooded lol, lil grizz was empty, but the bucket set bout 10ft up creek from the griz was a big ol ball of fur sittin there LOL! I thought it was awesome that we had just caught em too. Coon was bout 17-20lbs I think. Sorry bout the bad pix lol, took it with a phone. Plus, it was dark lol. Had the hardest time gettin that 220 off of em, the dang safty came off while I was fixin the springs! I'm pretty cautious when it comes to 220s, LOL, omg those things HURT! Dont want another wack from em ANYMORE LOL! ;D ;D ;D

Good job on the coon...............those 220's are some good traps when used properly. If i was to get serious this year about coon trappin.....I think it would be all 160's and 220's.

Are you going to stretch it right away or put it in the freezer? With these warm temps it doesn't take long to start tainting. When you get it on the stretcher posts some pics so we can critique.
Good looking coon and looks like you're doing a good job.

I'm puttin it on the stretcher tomorrow morning as soon as I get up. Not going to school since it's a half day. I've got the coon in a cooler on ice, an I'm puttin new ice from the ice maker thingy in about every few hours to keep it nice an cold. This works real well for me as long as I dont have it out there for more than 2 days. Which it wont be.
Got 3 coons on the boards now. I'll get a pix of my last coon I put up.

The fur handling looks real good.......ya should be proud.
One question thoughy..why the pin in the midle of the coon's back? that may cost ya little......would at some buyers around ehre anyway. We want the backs clear as they can possibly be.
Them fingers stop achin yet?

Krowtann 2000 is a good kit. Easy to use. I use it alot. You just need to break the hide alot to get it very soft. Good luck,
