up in Pinegrove near where jerry lives theres a sma;; mom and pop ice cream shop. they sell burgers and fries and stuff too but the kids love their ice cream and heres why................ i took them there the other day on the way home. Alexys calls em baseball bat cones,lol, cause she says there big as a bat. theyre 2.00 a piece...not bad for what ya get and occaisionally a treat for the kids,imo.

avtully myra ate most of hers and alexys ended up gettin a cup to put hers in.
she loves to get the cones but she only eats the actual cone and a little bit of ice cream,lol.
to avaoid stickiness i have some diaper wipes in the car for just such occasdions,lol.

i ordered alexys a cheeseburger there once and she and Daniel combined couldnt finish it, lol.

$2.00 a cone? For a cone 1/4 that size at our local Dairy Queen it's 2 bucks! They can't be making much at that price!

dont know what theyre clearin a cone but theyve been in business for ages.
they might make money more on the grill i dont know but they got some dang good ice cream ,lol, i do know that ;D

Used to be two little mom and pops along rt 20 right there. One was Wayne's Frosty Treat, and the other was Goddard's Dairy Island. That looks like what used to be Goddards. Wayne's was on the other side of the church building, and now it's the Valley Diner, I believe. Next time you get a chance, stop at Mason's Depot back up the road across from the new high school. They kill you with food, and it's good, too.

we usually dont go out to eat when we're up that way.
his moms a good cook, lol.
we do stop for ice cream every now and then as a treat.

So was my Dads and both my grandparents. Grandpa would take two slices of home made bread, coat them with lard instead of butter, and dump a big handful of coarse brown sugar on them, and make him a sugar sandwich. Two or three of them a day. Died at 96 of prostate cancer. Last EKG and labwork were ok. No cardiac problems at all. Weird aint it?
