if you were slated to give a trapping demo at your states convention, the schedules had already been posted and everythin, and you got a chnace to go moose hunting?
would you stick by your committment to do the demo or bail on the convention by getting one of the people that work for you to cover for you at the conventin?

I'd do the demo. I've never been moose hunting, never really wanted to, but if I had the chance once I'd probably get a chance again someday, I doubt if I would get a second chance to do the demo.

Ive had a lot of conflicts come up when id already agreed to do a demo, not felt like doing a demo when slated to do one, etc. But ive NEVER missed a demo I said id do!
Goes back to my upbringing, your word is your bond, if your word isn't any good, then what good are you?
Between my work now and my involvement in trapping association's, kids events, etc. it's a never ending juggling act. Luckily my work moves some dates around to accomodate my other obligation's, if wasn't for that id have to let something go as work comes first, then all this volunteer stuff.
Im retired from the demo business now so I don't have to worry about conficts with that, lol. Agreed to too much one year and was run to death, swore if I ever lived all that down I was getting out of that demo circuit, lol.

I agree with Jackie. If you agree to do one you should follow through. I know there are some circumstances that would prevent it and when Demos are listed they are tentative but people still get dissappointed. Jackie I thought you were coming out of retirement for the end of July next year. ;D
