It was really cold, but it was only a few days after warm weather and lots of rain. The dam in the picture was up probably 20 feet above normal level (it's a flood control dam, so it's designed to hold a lot more water than the normal level). Then, it got cold. as the water dropped, you get the pine trees with the 1/2 inch or so of ice stuck to them.

I haven't had steel in the ground for a couple of weeks. Heck, I ain't even seen the ground in a couple of weeks. Season ends this weekend, so I'm done for land sets. I know a spot that I might be able to set a beaver trap or two, but don't know if I'll get to it.
