start with easy bait formulas two of the best bases you can start out with is cooked white rice (then run threw blender)or fruit paste.these ingredents will take on any odor you want with out hurting your formula,you can add oils like cherry oil,atomic apple,,cinamon or anise oil. these single ingredents can turn your base in to a top notch bait. some of these ingredents will work on beaver like atomic apple,cinamon oil,and anise while these same ingredents will also work on coon as well.the cherry oil will work on rats,coon and beaver .the ground cinamon works on canines and coon when mixed in a fruit paste or ground up fish.

Thanks William, I've never use made baits or lures, I usually just use a piece of apple or some sort of meat or fish to bait with but can see that these ready made paste type baits would make it easier to conceal a set from the Johny Sneakums of the world.
