This is a video of the muskrat den area on the river. You can see in the video that at some time a large section of the bank slid into the river.
It is very deep here and with the slide it is very thick stickey mud. You can't walk through the mud. To go out and around it is way over the waiders.
So I built a large colony trap to float in the deep water. When I made the video I put out some apples and carrots to get them use to eating them. Wetting their appitite. ;D. Steve

This is right out of the regs for PA - I don't think colony traps are legal here. Cage and Box Traps: It is unlawful to 1) use a cage or box trap in water; and 2) use a cage or box trap capable of capturing more than one animal at a time.

So move to Ohio or Kentucky. Regs seem to be more trapper friendly.
