LOL..are either of them caught?
When trappin the river here I use a "line" of floats for rats and mink. It is the normal floats close to those in the pic tied together with a heavy cord about ten to 20 feet apart. I can wade out. Turn them loose and stretch them out for as long as the "line" is. Twice I have had the main line break and had to walk a long ways down river to find the things.

They are both caught but they made it to the shallows somehow and neither drowned that day. They must have pulled with all their might. I have caught a double on that float the past 4 days now. Today was actually a female mink and a rat.

ya ever think of useing wire to anchor the traps, it might save you some wear and tear as well as time. at least you wont have to go looking for them.

I use that tangle free rubber cord for decoys and a Railroad spike. they just had some team work and swam together I guess.

CR, What are you using for bait on your "rafts," if any?
Like ohtrap, I would like to view your float. It may want to have a place in my Muskrat Float Library - it would be among friends there.
