-Small bag of catfood (cheapest you can find)
-Pint of fish or salmon oil
-1/2 oz. of the finest shellfish oil you can find...MtnReb sells the best and I've smelled alot of 'em
-1 can of jack mackeral
Grind catfood, combine all together and put into a couple of gallon containers. Its simple and believe me, it works. Should make just under 2 gallons. If you want, you could go ahead and put an oz. of shellfish but with MtnReb's you only need 1/2 that because his is 100% uncut.

I should add that you'll want to freeze it until you're ready to use it. This can get dry too, so adding a little bit of water or fish oil as you go can help keep it moist.

I mix up something similar, only I use cod liver oil.
I use castor oil for a lure base with mollasses. Coon like it and it's deadly on canines.

I use straight Jack Mackeral right out of the can in my Griz traps. I love sardines, so I save & freeze the juice from them all year. When trapping season opens I add the juice to vegetable oil to make it go farther.
I have used a concoction of different things like shellfish oil, catfood, etc., but never seemed to catch any more coon than I do now. Don't get me wrong....I know that stuff works well. But for me, it seems I do just as well on plain or Jack Mac..

Good point Trapper 7. People tend to make things too complicated. That's why during the years I run hard I target one species at a time and keep it cheap and simple. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
