Which are you all using and why?
Peat moss here, hasn't failed me yet but its somewhat different to bed in...gotta be sure you pack some native soil in for bedding.

I just use what I dig up on sight, I already have to much stuff to haul in and out. If the dirt is wet and I'm in need of dry dirt it depends on where I am, if theres cattle where I'm trapping I use their dry poop and sift it(gotta work it like a cheese grater(sp) ) If there is no cow poop to use I will flip over logs and rocks and hopefully it'll still be not muddy wet.

Early season dry dirt( from the set area, I don't have any dry dirt stored. Get it from under bridges, sheds, etc... as I go). ;D Late season wax dirt.

We get a lot of rain here, so I've learned to adapt. Sometimes I use what's at hand, sometimes I use peat or whatever moss is handy, or cat tail duff.
I've found it easier to bed a trap solid in wet dirt using polyfill and a trappers cap, then pushing wet dirt between the pan and the jaws. I carry scissors with me and sometimes I just use grass clippings to blend it in.
Just depends on what's available and what the conditions are.
