How far West and North do they roam? Seen a map that showed they were as far a ND.

I don't know about west....but I am sure they go all the way onto Canada. They can and will adapt to about any place or terrain. I have caught them in Ks. so they are at least that far west.

The only problem we have is season is so short. After you figurin the deer seasons you only have about 30 to 40 days. to really get after them.

To my knowoledge our state don't have em yet, but we do have some Swift foxes in places. They are protected tough. Very neat little fox, they are absolutely tiny. Not sure where they all range at, but I asume it is mostly western states?

back to greys...another location I like is where a overgrown field,(c.r.p.is great) meets an opening,(field, road) Find where a trail comes threw the thick stuff ,set the wind bout 5 feet from where they join. killer location, take more than just the greys.

Any over grown rough to get through......gnarly mess of a place is good for greys if they are around. Being full of mice and/or rabbits and such is even better. Soon as I can get out and find a good place I will post a set that I use alot for them. Simple, nuttin fancy at all, but very effective.
Greys will hit a CM, same as coon and mink. If I am not boat trappin beaver I always make two sets on the high side of CM's. If I am boat trappin and see some really big coon tracks, I still make two sets above the CM's.......LOL

for one thing their foot is smaller, less of an area to come in contact with the pan. Another is the fact that theat they seem to tread very lighly, like a cat, and they appear to be more spooky than a red ;D
