I was at the grocery store yesterday. While walking down one of the isles what do I see, but yes yes yes, little cans of salad shrimp, and tins of smoked oysters!! I picked up 12 cans of each for just $1 a can. These have always worked really well for me. The smoked oysters really seem to add a nice smell that mink go for.

works wounders on canines as well. some of the food stuff and cooking spices togather works as good as some commercial made lures and baits. i feel it's some thing different for them as for odor.

Yep as a change up shellfish work good and shellfish oil is really nice. I'd eat the smoked oysters and use the juice, lol. Drained and on crackers, yum, use to carry a few for lunch on the trapline or a day long deer hunt. Sardines and sardine juice work good too and was some of my first bait I ever bought. We'd eat some of the sardines on crackers(if we had any or money for some) for lunch and pour the juice onto our possum and coon sets. You can thicken the juice/chunks with corn starch and soured milk etc and make a real nice coon and mink bait.

That stuff does work and is a lot cheaper than the commercial stuff for sure.

Coon and mink love all shellfish and fish. Even if its not native to their area. Ive caught coons on spoiled swordfish.
