Is there a market for the musk oil from mink, and is it worth saving it?

Apples and oranges. Two different substances.
Mink oil used to treat leather is rendered from the fatty deposits under the mink pelt.
Mink musk/glandular secretions are used in several lures/baits.

My words exactly, tc. If you put mink musk oil on your boots, I can think of a lot of places you wouldn't be very welcome in. ;D

Rendered mink fat use to be used on leather boots. Oil and rendered fat etc from mink are all good lure additives. Best lure for a mink is a set thats caught a mink after all. We strip all our mink carcass's of sex organs etc. for our own use. Yotes and fox are drawn to the scent too.
