There has been some speculation that Marco Rubio would be a good running mate with whoever gets the nomination for the GOP. He is from Florida, would probably have a strong appeal to immigrants, and has exceptional political savvy.
Here's the problem with him:
In all fairness, the Constitution says to be president you must be a natural born citizen of the US. It doesn't go on to explain what a natural born citizen is, however. So, congress made that determination by saying at least one parent must be a citizen living in the US for a least one year. The other parent can be a US national. This is what is causing such a stir about Obama's eligibility to be president.
Both of Marco Rubio's parents were Cuban refugees and not citizens of the US, making him ineligible to be president or VP, as much as I hate to admit it.
With so many accusations by the right on Obama's qualifications, can you imagine how the left would tear into Rubio's.

I thought he was born here? IF so it wouldn't matter where his parents are from. No idea where Obama came from, someone with alot of connections and money put him where he's at right now, he just came out of nowhere, hopefully when he's finished ruining the country he'll return!

According to the Constitution at least one of his parents would have to be a citizen based on a decision made by congress. The constitution says natural born citizen, whatever that means. To me, natural born sounds like what you're saying just being born here, but not according to congress.

I thought you just had to be born here, still don't think Obama was though!

Heard a speech given by Marco Rubio at the Reagan Library. He's a pretty impressive individual. He would make a good running mate. If Obama can get by, I don't know why he can't.

Lot of bright stars on the republican side these days, just don't hear them very often because of the liberal media still trying to make everything think Obama is real smart and is the best president ever.
Allen West can really pull the paint off the o image as well and reveal what's really going on in a no nonsense kind of way.

I've heard good things about Allen West. He might make a good running mate for someone too.
