I went for a walk along a couple of small streams and the Annapolis River and was quite taken with the signs of wilfie along the banks and on the logs across them. Lots of tracks and plenty of beaver sign as well as muskrat, mink and otter. I also saw bob cat tracks in the soil by a couple of logs crossing the smaller streams as well as 2 otters playing in the river. Lots of water fowl and woodcock as well as deer and coyote sign. If the spring stays warm and not too wet we should be in for a good trapping season come fall.
I guess the wife is right if I'm not hunting or fishing or trapping I'm thinking about it. lol!

On the way back from Digby on April 24th I saw several deer in fields and in one there was a large piebald deer off to one side of a group of 5 normal colored deer. After I was home and took the dogs for a wakl I had a nice cross fox run across the trail and down through the woods in front of us, also found where a bear had dug up an ant hill. So it seems that the game has deffenetly made it through the winter and is more abundant than one would think.
