The absolute worst garden season I've ever had, Sunshine. Put out 750 tomato plants. Don't think I've pulled more than 200#s. Too much rain contributed to other problems with it. I had never raised squash or zuchinni before, & by the time I saw the powdery mildew, it was too late for them. Might try my luck with some beets & turnips.

Didn't even bother with trying this year. By the time the rain quit it was to late really. Glad I didn't to..... as when the rain quit....it quit for weeks and weeks. We still need rain here now.
Hey bvr....what of part of Ky. ya in?

Wasn't a good year here at all. Too cold and wet early then too hot and dry when we needed the rain then an early frost to clean things up.

After I made the original post I put up an electric fence and I had a real good late garden. I canned 49 quarts of beans off a patch about 12x20. No kiddin.
I had a good bit of sweet corn also. My tomatoes didn't do too good but I got some decent potatoes and squash.

Next spring we are planning on a large garden at the farm. Gonna be a family garden. Dorth and me, my sister and her hubby, and my other sister who is the owner/care taker of the farm.
I am hoping to plant a few fruit trees there also within the next cpl of weeks.
