Well as usual I am no where near ready as there was way too much to do over the rest of the year and as of the 6th of Oct. this year I quit my job with Canadian Tire and threw in with my son-in-law with a Handy Man Service in which we do everything from lawn care to building new buildings and landscaping. I bought an 8 x 12 ft trailer, a Kaboda B125 with a loader ,backhoe, and tiller attachments , 6 lifts of staging and the jacks and x braces a 7000 - 6500 watt generator, 10hp wood chipper and about 2grand worth of other tools . At 56 yrs of age I must be nuts I opened my NWO licences and went on the active list as well. Now it decides to rain every other day although we did do a large roofing job that we finished Friday. I hope the rainy weather clears up for a while so we can get the rest of the jobs done and out of the way. Then I can start trapping.

Question for all you seasoned trappers. what size colony traps do you prefer? 6 x 6 x 24 or 7 x 7 x 36 . Reason for my question is I am going to make some and not sure if I should go for the larger ones or just make the smaller ones . I found with the funnel type trap that if more than one rat got caught they would bite one another.

can't use them here for fur trappin. However in my adc work I use a 6x6x26. I also make them NOT to drown the rats. I am sure with a few in there they fight some, but I am releasing them elsewhere so I don't care much if they do or not.
