Once again the sale proves that selling only quality furs pays. $93 for ten coyotes in one lot and then down to 45 average on the other 23. Proved a point to the boys that a mangy critter is not worth picking up as we got a $1.

lol yep our cyotes did terrible too... but cats did ok but a lot less than expected ... luckily most of our cats wont be sold till feb because of them changing the sale dates this season we only got 40 out of 341 cats shipped in time so maby thefeb sale will be better

One of these days you will see just how bad NAFA has been. They did exactly what they intended to do. Run another bunch of country buyers out of biz.
I almost sent some fur to them this year. Glad I didn't. Now more then ever I know I will never send them a single piece of fur.

we did decent on cats and oour yotes aint ever been too good down here.. coons were terrible and im with you sunshine i dont wanna em to give em away.. luckily cats usually remain pretty stable from yr to yr... we have done better but not too bad considering..

true pitw but where we trap we gotta gotta catch yotes if we wanna keep landto trap lol and since huck got me to build that skinning machine well cyotes are a lot easier to skin lol .. before i wouldnt skin one for less than 20 lol....
ohh btw huck that machine was absolutly awsome wish id built it 20 yrs ago lol

Glad it worked out for ya. I am gonna rebuild mine. I built it horizontal and don't like as well as I do vertical.

From what I have seen over all fur prices dropped a fair bit. Gets rid of some of the money trappers but makes it hard on the ones depending on a fair price as part of their livelihood,

well rszweig how did you fare on them fur ? I did ok as I needed the cash but it was $8 nose count on carcass rats that surprised me. The last time I saw that was 1980.
