Well last night I set two traps for Beaver and two for muskrat . Got down to the swamp to check them this morning and found one 330 sprung and one missing nothing in either of the 120's. So I reset the remaining 330 then start looking around to see what may have happened to the other 330. There up the channel about 30 ft was the barely visible hind foot of a large beaver. It had managed to pull out both of my stakes plus the one that was through the chain ring and travel that far out into the channel . It turned out to be a very large female that weighs around 50 pounds. I have caught larger beaver but have never had one in a Belisle 330 do any more than just mess up my set. Guess there is a first time for everything.

Same 4 traps and two more beaver. I pulled the traps and will reset in an other location later this week as one of the beaver caught this morning is barely cub size . I'm going to try my hand at coyotes this afternoon. I will put out a few dirt hole sets.
