I've never been docked for not having a tail. I'm sure if all of them were like that you would be docked. this was a this years fox, and the tail was just like a bob-cats. it was completely healed and looked normal as far as it went.

is that red fox caught where a round bale used to be? or did you make that dirt pile

Actually it is where some treated, heated, and mixed sludge was stockpiled. when I drove by it I noticed fox,skunk diggings scattered throughout the weeds. Round bales are piled in a line 25 yards to the left, as was an uncut cornfield with a gate there. A 4 lane highway is 60 yards to the right.

here is this mornings result from the same set, I had to move some dirt around to get it back to working order...lol I guess that qualifies as a catch circle ;D

Sam, just come on down Rt. 29, when you get to the Madison county High school, go 2 more crossovers and take a left into the field, go right past the small shed, u can't miss it ;D

great catch's earl!!i caught a red last season without tail and i got the same as the 11 other's i sold that day..why or what do you think happens to them to have their tails completely ripped off?enquiring minds wants to know,lol..

thanks earl. i have a hay field with lots of bales still on it. could i just pick and set a trap there once we move them

It probably would be best to set while they are still there, as rodents will be living in and around the hay bales. Just move out away from the end of the bales where the wind will work the scent back towards them and set your trap, bed it solidly, and make your set.
