OST - had about twenty or so people at the VTA fur sale in March, come up and look at it thinking it might be a red fox. We get some weird color combinations around here.

mink, thanks for the compliment. First year on beavers. Had a fur buyer look at the first beaver I caught, day it was nailed to the board(Cathryn , right side of pic on the bottom , egg shaped one), and when I saw him again bidding on those 6 beavers at he VTA sale he said i had learned alot good looking beavers. Sent me to cloud nine. Still learning, Steven

Mink started for the yotes in '01. A few calves came up missing. An old trapper moved in the area showed me everything he knew. And I have been hooked ever since. He ended up moving to TN. before he showed me any water sets. So the water critters are somewhat new to me. But I cannot wait until 12/1/07. Caught six beavers, three otters(not pictured) this year. picked up a bunch of rats, and one mink. Still very new to me just trying to get the best fur in the area. Always learning, Steven

Mink, I work a very odd schedule compared to every other person on this thread. it looks like I am going to go to the friday seminars(all land trapping) and that is all at the VTA convention due to work schedule. But hanging that same pic at Southern States has me more land to trap this year than I have traps. looks like i'll be cleaning traps all year. . Still learning, Steven

Very nice. Can't say I've trapped a fox either. Coyotes, beaver, otter, yes ...
