Got a double today - this is at the intersection of two tractor roads. Three of the corners are abandoned fields and the fourth is thick woods. The fox is in a dirthole on one corner and the grinner at a flat set on the opposite corner.

Nice pictures and thanks for posting them. Did you kill the possum first? No, actually, I did the fox first. Is there a reason to do the possum first?

Yeah, and more coming this week. I had to pull when I caught these two - for holidays, family coming over to stay, blah, blah. But that was Sunday, then today I set again and used these two circles with identical sets. And now, it's raining hard. Gonna uncover my traps.

Well, I was wrong, the set didn't get uncovered. ;D This guy was in the same set as the fox above. I had the traps out of the ground for the holiday - for three nights - but as soon as I put it back in, this guy stumbled along. Makes me wonder what might have happened if that trap had stayed in the ground for those three days. The guy in the photo is my father in law who was visiting from Florida. He wanted to tag along.

LOL Earl. Well, I think I know my goal for NEXT season - to catch so many critters I don't care to post pictures of them all. But until then, all of ya have to suffer along with me! This was from this morning - there are a million coon tracks under this bridge, and I had sets here for a week with no activity before pulling just before Christmas. But I put one set back after Christmas - and I'm glad I did.

Yeah, someday earl. I got enough $ tied up in traps/stakes/bait/etc. this year. Maybe next year I'll get a few stretchers. And a shed.

Picked up two more fox this morning. One was the third fox in six checks at a spot - plus a digger one day. Gotta keep setting that spot. The other is the first night at a spot where I had sets in three or four weeks ago. My old dirthole had been worked over pretty good so I reset in the same spot. Now, I have a catch circle too! I also had one pull out last night. I have a catch circle, but no fox. I'm sure it was a fox by the footprints left behind. It's very wet here right now and it's like trying to make a set in mashed potatoes - it don't sift too well. I have plenty of dry dirt, but used my carry around dirt yesterday - and forgot to refill from the home stash. I had to do some improvising today. Left the camera in the truck for one of the fox, so you don't get the "in the trap" picture.

Way to go brother. Very nice. You might need to set some flat sets now scansy. The fox that pulled out probably wont commit to a dirt hole again.

Yeah, I put the dirt hole back in the same spot - and a flat set about 5 feet out of the catch circle where he pulled out. I made it really subtle. Mad sure the trap was bedded solid and blended well, and just a little urine and tiny amount of gland lure. I'll get him.

I don't know about figured out - I should've had more - too many diggers and now a pull out. I'm sure the pull out is because of a bad catch. But I ain't doing to bad for only a dozen sets out at most at any time.
