do you replant when you dig an area?

I don't start digging until the berries turn red, then i replant those. In the case of some of the beries still being green, i replant the stems and then they will ripen up and fall off.

I don't know what your state law says (reference replanting). I know each state either matches or exceeds the federal law. Here in KY all seed must be planted within 50 feet of where the root was dug. That might be a good guideline.

Like I said Mark, I don't dig until the berries turn red. If you replant a stem with green berries they will ripen and then mother nature will take care of it. a green berry wont sprout. All are planted within 10 feet.
