Anybody got one, or has a buddy that has one? I saw one being used to tranport disabled veterans at the local chapter of the NWTF. they looked sweet, advertised to run all day on a charge.

all that is is a modified 4-wheeler A modified golf cart with 4 wheel drive, a lift kit, beefed up frame and suspension, extra capacity batteries, and hi-torque motors, actually. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Only problem I see, if you run out of juice in the batteries, you'd have to be towed in, or have an awful long extension cord. If you run out of gas in a conventional machine, a splash and go from a buddy, and you can drive it out of the woods. I wonder how well the batteries would hold up in really cold weather? We all know what happens when it's blue nosed gopher cold, and we hit the starter switch on the car. Also, I wonder what the life expectancy is on the batteries? If you have to replace batteries every couple of years, ( I think there's four of them, if I remember right), that could get to be an expensive proposition, especially if they're deep-cycle batteries. Parts availability for repairs would be a concern, too. Most folks live an hour or so away from a Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki, etc... shop. For me, the minuses don't outweigh the pluses. Cabela's makes a "stealth" exhaust for conventional bikes that works pretty well, if noise is a concern.

with heavy usage, batteries may be cheaper than gas. They make a solar recharge kit for them i think. They have learned a lot about keeping the batteries in optimum condition evidentally, they have an auto-refill kit for the water level. I guess this is just like everything else, good and bad to all of them ;D

Earl one of the outfitters I work for has one and he says its ok but the battery doesn't last near long enough when your having to travel a long ways, he said that when the battery gets to half you better be getting to the house to charge it, but for what most of the guys that are buying them are using them for I'm sure they would work ok, just not really good for us western guys yet when you have a lot of country to cover.

Yeah its only about 8 months old he said, the battery water level maintainer is awesome and he said it works great too.
I still think for shorter trips and if you are staying in a house they would be great for hunting, just right for you whitetail city slickers! LMAO

How long can it go on batter power. ? Would you need a generation in the back in case you need to recharge ;D ;D

with light duty usage, it appears to be able to run all day. At least the ones they were hauling the disabled veterans around in did. This was over rolling terrain, and fairly smooth.

If you put a small generator in the back. You could go all week long. Cool ride
