He announced his retirement last night. I'm not a Packers fan, and I don't think he was the best quarterback I've ever seen, he was way too inconsistent, but he was good.
Also, unlike some of todays players, he is a good role model for today's youngsters.

Hawkeye, I'm with ya on that one. Class all the way(at least compared to the rest of the NFL). Wish he could have gone out on a better note.

Professional sports: place where U can be a total detriment to society and people will pay to see U perform. It's sad but we all still watch em and they make millions!!

Well, I don't do too much sports betting, but I know how I could make a bundle watching football and basketball. I'm going to get two televisions side by side. I'll have one on the game and the other on America's Most Wanted. Yep, the reward money will come rolling in. How's that for a retirement plan?

Yeah, but there are some in jail and prison. There's a guy in Oregon State Prison right now that has a superbowl ring, he played for the Broncos. think he sat on the bench most of the time though.

I liked Favre, he had balls. Yes he wasn't the best statistical quarterback, but he got a ring. More then my man Marino did, or probably Peyton will

To Farve's credit, if you truely break down the statistics, the 4th quarter of loosing games did him in for INT's. He stepped up and shown the competitive side. He forced a lot of throws the make something happen. Regardless of how good an individual is, it takes 45 men to win the super bowl. Satistics and rings can't prove the greatness of an individual. When people are refered to a a role model or are honorable, then a men becomes judged as an individual and has earned the right of his perception.
