Hey guys and gals,
I am looking for a recipe for a "rub" to use on pork and/or beef. I don't eat hot spicy foods at all, just never had the pallete for it. I know there are some out there as hot as halopeno peppers, there has to be.
I love to grille alot and need something new to try this year.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wel I don't know if this will help but you can make it with bbq sauce in it . the recipe is :
(for ham)12 pounds chopped ham 5 cups catsup 10 tablespoons vinegar 2 cups brown sugar 10 small onions chopped
Mix catsup , sugar ,vinegar and onions . Pour on chipped ham . Bake 1 hour in oven until hot . Could be heated on topof stove also .Serve on buns . Makes a big batch .
(for beef) 1 onion 2 tablespoons vinegar 1/2 a cup of catsup 2 teaspoons mustard 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Heat together and pour over 1 qt. beef chunks - cut up . Makes good sandwhich .
Hopes this helps . Rick

Hey huckleberry heres what I do for my pork and chicken. I drizzle them with olive oil and rub it to cover the surface after that I sprinlke liberally with black pepper, Lawrys seasonall, garlic POWDER not salt, paprika if you want, a little chili powder and some grill seasoning. Then I slow cook it on a smoker with an oak fire everyone devours it and I have to cook a lot to have any leftovers.

Equal parts paprika and chili powder, add some garlic salt. Rub it on refrigerate overnight, add some more right before you toss it over the coals. Makes good chicken wings and BBQ ribs. Not real hot either.

Surprisingly this isn't that hot. Not too hot for my brother and he likes his food pretty bland.
