Take one whole chicken and put in crock pot make sure you dress it first Now chop a large onion into several large pieces and stuff chicken cavity with 3 to 4 pieces add 2 to 3 crushed garlic cloves Pour in the contents of one can of beer sampling beer is permissable add water if more liquid is needed In my crock pot the chicken breast is above the water level so I drizzle it with olive oil and then liberaly season with black pepper, lawrys seasonal, garlic powder some chili powder and paprika is good too. Cook until done and enjoy. Leftovers make delicous sandwiches if you have any.

Cooked it in the crockpot. I cooked 2 birds and there wasn't any left.Thought we would have left overs but the oldest one came in with some friends after snowmobiling and it was gone. I've done the beer butt chicken on the grill and that also is good. You just have to get it out at the right time or it will dry out.

I found that on the grill u need to keep the heat low so that u don't cook the beer out.

Hope ya liked it wheelers PMed ya.
I found that with the beer butt chicken that it makes a big difference if you take and onion or potato and plug the neck opening it'll be much moister. lower temp and indirect heat too.
