seeing as how it was asked; peel potatoes (number being how hungry you are or how big your iron frying pan is (just kidding the fry pan doesnt have to be iron). after peeling the potatoes are thinly sliced and rinsed off and let dry while you heat some lard ( or bacon grease, or any other type of oil the first two are for taste) in your pan, heat same on medium heat until lard is able to make a drop of water sizzle, then add potatoes, salt and pepper to taste. dont stir to often but keep lid on fry pan, turn potatoes when tose on the bottom start to brown. potatoes are done when soft to the fork. they can be served with al kinds of good stuff, home made baked beans, scrapple, pan pudding the list goes on. one secert to the tase of good fried potatoes id to top with freshly chopped sweet onion, salt and pepper.

I think I'm gonna have some fried taters and deer loin before I go back to stay at the hospital tonight......besides the hospital food is outrageously high and it sucks

i shure hope thats not water and ice in the glass. oh i dont peel the potatoes either if they are thin skinned. speaking of thin skinned; for those of you that grow your own taters. have you ever took those tiny ones you cant get in the store (well at least i cant afford them when i find them) and fry them whole in deep fat.

Leave it to whells to notice earls pants are off. I would've figured sammy would have picked up on that one. Dinner looks good earl. Potatoes sound good freshwater. We cook them in bacon grease a lot on our camping/fishing/hunting trips - great for flavor.

Fresh fried kennebecs, NOT RUSSETS, fried with ramps, bulllnose peppers diced up, and mushrooms, and fresh pork side meat, smoked, trimmed lean, and fried crisp. Now thats good eatin'.
Some home made bread with real cow butter and home made apple butter, and a big slice of dutch apple pie hot out of the oven for desert.
Boy, howdy. Now I'm hungry.
