No school today. So I got to take Hunter out to check traps. While we're riding out from the last set,Hunter said; can we go coyote hunting.HEY,NO PROBLEM.So we headed to one of my spots along the river thats not a long walk,it was only 10 degrees out.We didn't call nothing, but he likes blowing on the calls so we took turns blowing the call. After about 15-20 minutes he was ready to go home,he was getting cold.So we headed home.It wasn't alot of hunting or even seen anything, but the important thing is it keeps there interest if you go at their pace when it comes to stuff like this.I was happy he asked if we could go hunt coyotes.Heres a pic of him at the calling site over looking the river. Our walk out,he was the leader. They take turns in his kindergarten class being the leader. His class consist of only 7 kids including himself and there all boys. I gotta make sure he don't end up prom queen. LOL

I bet he can learn more in the outdoors at that age than in school, but the kids today are learning at an earlier age.

when i went to kindergarten we went three days a wekk. some places in Va they had a halfday kindergarten. One group had moring kindergarten and one had afternoon. My little one is 4 and they want me to put her on a bus and send her with the big kids to school for preschool evereyday? No way it aint gonna happen. shes too little and young for that,IMO.it aint gonna happen. My dad is really gung ho education and think s i should send her.
i say no, heck she canwrite her name and numbers to 15 and most of her ABCs. shes coming along just fine with me and my daughter helping her.
Neither of my other kids went to preschool. Myra does very good and Daniel gets by.LOL, hes too interested in hunting , fishing ,trapping and any other outdoor stuff, thats his problem, hed rather be outside shooting something ;D

Hunter never went to pre-school and he's doing just fine in K.I wanted to home school him,but we decided he needed to be with kids his own age and as you can see by the size of his class there aren't too many kids around here that young let alone any one we know.Of course we are in a different age group than most people with kids that young,my wife and I are in our 40's.I do know one thing, being in school has made him a little more mouthy. That's another reason I'm not fond of public schools, they learn more than just ABC's.I also take him to school everyday,he's too young to be let out of my sight until he gets to the teacher.Too many horror stories and it's not happening here.
