I think that 4 dollar rats is way too high compared to 10 dollar mink, eventually it will all get corrected!

I had 5 rats in the NAFA's last sale that bought $8.50..I averaged $4.94 on the 42 rats I had left from last year. A lot better than the $2.50 I expected..I even sold the otters that had been there for two years for a $38.00 average..Overall not bad still like the 200 average better but the coon look promising this year..I can but up two bandits to one water torpedo any day ;D

I think with a short catch and advancing ranch mink the rats have a really good chance to advance in the NAFA'S May sale.

I should also add that the Kopenhagan (sp) Ranch Mink/Ranch Fox sale and NAFA'S Ranch Mink sale are before the Wild Fur sale in May. This could effect the prices also.

That worries me too. But if the economy keeps going like it is, I may be a full-time trapper come October. High fur prices will be a big plus.

They are gonna hold for the May sale, the question is just how high will they go.
