The pre-registration process sucked, #1, it was stated that there would be no pre-registering until 9:00 on Wednesday the 5th...funny thing is that some registered on the 28th of february. I was scheduled for 1:00 , i was the fifth fom the last sold, not even at the front of the line when fur was put on the table at 3:30. There was room and time for me to put my fur in the second auction......On a positive side, Glen worked his butt off and should be commended

Will number of lots sold and averages be posted latter? You're always going to have little glitches the first time, but there is no excuse for allowing registration prior to the published date.

Amen, One of our forum members called at 9:03 and was lot #13...mmm....but yesterday, the list was seen with the time they called. the auction process went smoothly; but there were only 3 active buyers for the last auction, when my lot came up.....probably wouldn't have mattered anyway; but its the principle of the thing!

Didn't each trapper have multiple lots?

I thought things went very well...Glen was hard on himself at the board meeting and offered many great suggestions to improve the process. Glen worked his butt off as the sale was pretty much left in his hands...Ed Crebbs and his wife also helped greatly with the process along with a few other active members..Like any sale we have room for improvement..I would like to see more members get involved.once your assigned a number and know what round you fur is in you have the time to help out..I also seen alot of kids involved with moving the fur to the buyers and that was very positive...overall the sale finished about the same time as last years sale..It was suggested that we add a few more tables and give free boxing gloves to the buyers next year...great sale ;D

There was some problems, that WILL be taken care of. I have been to many fur auction and for the # of lots and the $ of fur sold it was as quick as any I have been to. Next year this will be one of the faster auction. I go to PA. to there auction and they sell 110K of fur in 15 hours, we sold about 50 to 60k in 8 hours. That's from the time the auctioneer starts. I thinks we did well. Out of the gate we had lot # problems that put up back about 2 hours. We won't have them again.

I appreciate your hard work, Glen. Nobody was dissatisfied with their prices, that I heard of.....it will be interesting to see how many shipped. Thought the grey prices were right in-line with NAFA and you didn't have to wait for your money, and much less commission.......but some still shipped, we'll see ;D

Glen, were you the one running around put lot numbers in order, printing off lot sheets. Pretty much working your butt off. If so I appluade you, you did a fine job. The kids moving fur great idea. Wolfer I was out of the building by noon. I did wear an IAFF t shirt to narrow it down some did meet mtnreb. talked for a few but he was busy making money. Did meet another IAFF member there Sam Poles ( Fairfax county Fire dept.). Think it was a good sale happy with the prices. Can't wait to see the NAFA and FHA sale prices in May for those that said no sale on $40.50 greys.
