The NAFA May sale should go Good. Anything can happen next year on coon. They will start off with a bang and could go downhill quick. Everybody I've talked too said they are going to target coon. The harvest will be way up! ( I think). How will gas prices affect the amount harvested? Will the olympics in China have a negitive impact Due to Boycotts? This has driven the market some to produce for the expected buying crowd in China. I'm betting Long hairs will go up slightly as nobody can afford the fuel to long line them. Target a mixed bag, Cash in on coon early next year and hold your breath!

the supply of coon will be at zero when next season starts, the weather will dictate next years prices, disease in some parts of the country will have a negative impact on the numbers. I look for it to stay strong next year too

i dont know, there will be more people targetting them and even if the numbers are down with more people out there after them, the prices could go down, imo. cause half as many coon available and 3 times as many people going after them could get the supply back up near normal.

I sure hope the market stays good. I just wish coyote prices would go up. It isn't hardly worth targeting them.

With the world economy as bad as it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see all fur down this year.

Recently I got a fee fur buyers together and here is their recorded report. Yes so far Raccoon does not have the same demand but its early! Our guests were from 3 different buying groups to sell fur , NAFA with Tom Will, Mark Spencer of the U.P and a fellow fur buyer Jack Tausheck from Wisconsin A noted writer in the fur buying industry Parker Dozhier called in and although long winded had a lot to add about those economic items that effect the price of fur. . The show covered how to put fur up for the money as well as what fur are used for and where it goes once it is sold .The show had 16 call in guests and 111 listening in on the internet, This was probably our most popular to show to date. Hosted by our regulars, Mike Flick and Kevin Dahn www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/audioPop.jsp?episodeId=151708&cmd=apopThis same crowd gets together again on November 9 and will update monthly through the whole fur season

ive spoken to Parkrer several times on the phone and your right, he is windy, lol.
personally, the price of fur doesnt matter that much to me. whether it be 2 bucs or 10 a piece for coon, ill still be setting for coon either way.
the market will be down acroos the board imo wih the economy the way it is.
i dont sell fur till May so maybe by then, itll be back up.

Wow this is the first time in several weeks that I could get into this site. I just had an info pop up that said flash player was getting bombarded by some other freek site. This would not let me load the info correctly. Now for the real reason I posted here. I just posted most of the same info at tman just a bit ago. Here is one thing that we all need to keep our eyes on. The Copenhaugen fur auctions. This auction house excells in the sale of ranch mink. They had an auction in early sept. that sold breeders and low grade mink for very high prices. This was of course before all the mess started/ Nowthe thing to watch for is, they will be having another ranch mink auction in Dec. If this auction does poorly, then you can pretty much kiss your wild fur mkt. by by. Wild fur will of course have some value to it so we should all still trap. Now If the sale sells the ranch goods at a good price and we have high cleance levels, then we may come out of the whole mess with just a few scratches. On the other hand, if the ranch fur sells good in price but poor in clearance or has a good clearance with low prices, we may be in some deep do do in the wild fur bussiness. Ladies and gentlemen, lets all keep our fingers crossed and maybe even cross a couple of your toes, so we can have at least some kind of half way decent mkt. for our goods.

Will do, if I can get into the site. It is working a lot cleaner than it used to. Used to be , when I scrolled down on a page, the page was jerky, now it is smooth. The whole transaction now takes less than 30 seconds.

Well presently I have visions of 1987.
George (Groenewold buyer) stated that he didn't want the small/mediums.
