in your opinion to weather the winter elements?
needs to be insulated and waterproof of course.
i have a pair of Rockys i got a couple months ago im pretty satisfied with but i have a few minor issues with them and i may replace them before season.

I love rocky boots! My snake boots have held up for 4 long seasons without leaking. First ones yet that would!

Red Wings, I found to be real good. Also Woverean work boots.

Too bad there aren't many US makers anymore.
I've had good luck with Rockys and Wolverine. Presently, my steel toes at work are Chinese made Red Wings and may be the best pair I've had in years.

I really like my Wolverines.
Use to wear Rocky's until I had a problem with a pair of them. Their customer service and warranty really sucks. So I choose not to give them anymore of my money.

I inherited a pair of Whites, custom made, that lasted me for years, but they were the coldest boot I ever put on. I was logging one winter and bought a pair of K Mart fall aparts. Actually having warm feet was a new feeling. I decided I didn't care if they only lasted 6 months, a new pair of cheap boots every six months is cheaper than paying big bucks for a pair that you may or may not be happy with.
Now rain gear is a different story, I buy Grudens or Carharts, expensive, but worth it.

I have noticed over the years. Its not only the brand of boots you need to look at, but also the design of them. Some designs hold up better then others. Hope this makes sense LOL because i sure dont all the time.
Peace be with you my child.
