What are you guys using to connect the trap/chain to the cable? If I am planning on leaving the stakes behind, what do I use to make them easy to remove the trap?

lap links, quick links, the bottom of a two way swivel, or strong S hooks.

I won't leave a cable stake on some one else's property. Period.

Thanks guys.
TC - these would be left in a state forest - and only if I cannot get them out - the soil is going to be very rocky where I'll be trapping later this week.
Here near home, where I don't have any (or very few) yotes, and the soil is not as rocky, I'm staking and pull the stakes all the time.

I use a heavt S hook and attach the J hook to that. That J hook tool makes it a breeze...
