The Pennsylvania Trappers Association has compiled a book about trapping canines. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but it looks pretty good. Some good general canine chapters, some specific to reds/grays/yotes. Also chapters on trap mods, skinning, ethics, etc. Most chapters were written by PA trappers, but there are a few other as well. You will probably recognize one or two of the names at least.
Anyway, the book is $16. Proceeds go to PTA. PM me if you are interested and I will pass on the address to send a check to.

Yeah, each article is "authored". Here is the list of authors. Not all are from PA. The last guy - Dave Rodgers - wrote about skinning/stretching/drying. He's my local supplier/buyer. Other than that, I don't know any of them personally - but many of them through pafurtakers.com. But there are some well known names.
Rod Zullinger Ed Price doohicky Adkins Russ Carmen John Crawford Kip Feroce Dave Graham Jim Griffith Dave Heist Bob Jameson Stephanie Lee Joe Mast Brian Mohn Randy Mohn Brian Mountain Bruce Slater Albert Stoltzfus Todd Strohecker Carl Swope Jim Verdier Mark Zagger Dave Ziegler Dave Rodgers

Rodgers is still in business? I sold to him at the end of last season - took him some fur - and somehow left with less money than I came in with. Dang traps are expensive. I haven't been out there since February, but will be making a trip in September or so.

i wonder why Phil Brown didnt contribute anything to the book? Not sure. Maybe he just doesn't like writing. Or maybe he was to busy skinning and stretching.

I've tried to find this book but without the proper title it is not showing any book by the PTA called Canine Trapping. I did a Google search for it and came up empty.

OK Tried a little bit different approach and here is the info. The Pennsylvania Trapper’s Associations continues to promote trapping with New Book “Canine Trapping.” This book starts with the importance of trapping ethics and progresses with sets and techniques by top PA Trappers. To purchase the book send check or money order made out to Pa. Trappers Assoc. for $12 plus $4 S&H to: Greg Bell, 1219 Dallas Ave., Natrona Heights, PA 15065-1432. I really don't know why it couldn't have been posted before?not as if it were top secret information that one needed special clearance for. Sheesh!
