Saw a big boar roadkilled today I :oswear was a midwestern transplant . DARK black boar coon with real pretty silver-tipped coat, and lots of silver highlights in the tail hair. Not our usual chitty yellow-tinged muddy looking WV coon. This one was a beaut. Wish we had more that looked like that. :(Haven't seen one with that pretty of a coat in a long time.

I haven't caught one like that in a long time. Caught a cinnamon or two over the past couple of years-I think they're pretty. Most of ours look like the state road highlighted their fur with yellow centerline paint. Last dark with silver highlights I caught was probably 4 years ago.

lol he must been a biggun then ,LOL Actually, for around here he was a really big coon, fresh killed so he wasn't bloated yet. Plus, he was lying at an intersection where you have to stop, so I got a real good look, not just a 55 mph drive-by.

You know, I remember thinking, if Cat was here, she'd stop, jump out with a steely look of grim determination in her eye, and cabbage that thing to skin. ;D J/K.
