Well, between waiting for fur to prime and lack of time, I haven't been out. Won't hit it harder until after Thanksgiving. But couldn't wait any longer so took my daughter (4yo) for a walk yesterday and made a couple of coon sets. It's not much, but helps to scratch the itch. This was waiting for me this morning. It helps to get me psyched for later.

I sure can maintain that 50% ratio over a season - you know, if I pull out and never make another set. Alyssa likes walking with Daddy in the woods. While I was making these sets, she was throwing rocks in the water and wading (over her boots). Asking lots of questions. Dad, what's that? Pieces of fish/ What's the fish for? Bait for raccoon. Do raccoons eat fish? They love fish. Why do you make traps? To catch a racoon. Why do you want to catch a racoon? People make fur coats out of them. What's that? Chain. What's that? That's the drag. What's a drag? It keeps the racoon from running away. ......................... There's no way to get lonely with her in the woods
