Might be to easy to say no unless your faced with the actual situation.

Not sure drinking your own urine would help? Your body's waste? The stuff it couldn't use the first time?

scansy ive heard of people being lost and surviving cause they drank their own urine. I can't imagine being lost and not being able to find water? Any of the places I hunt/fish/trap have water all over the place. Or snow, or ice. Of course, I haven't spent any time in a desert. I would think drinking raw water (un-purified) would be better than drinking urine.

scancy in the desert you have plants like cactus that has water in it. you cut it,peel it and chew on it.there is some that has a red fruit like on it that you can skin and eat thats real tasty.

Your urine can be a lot safer than some of the microscopic things crawling around in some of that water. I've never heard of anybody getting deathly sick from drinking their urine, but I have from people drinking water. In a pinch you can make a still and distill your water, even a solar still will work.

Is there any nutritional value to the urine? Does it provide hydration? Not all liquids hydrate the body - alcohol for example.

Too much salt in straight urine for it to rehydrate. Solar stills are easy to make with anything like an aluminum can, plastic bottle, or plastic sandwich bag.
