When you cook it. To stop or minimize bacon from curling while cooking over the camp fire. Roll your bacon slices in flour before you fire it. This has worked great for me many times. So next time you are out camping in church give this a try. A little oil is needed to start the bacon cooking and to minimizer the sticking.

The only time I care whether my bacon curls is when I make BLTs and breakfast sandwiches, scrambled eggs and bacon or ham. I have a brick I wrap in tin foil and lay it on the bacon while it is frying. I'll try the flour. I make a lot of breakfast sandwiches when I'm on the ocean, makes a nice breakfast that I can eat on the deck while I'm working. The brick is just one more thing I could eliminate in that crowded little galley.
