That's because the bucks are smarter then the does. Like in in people. The man is smarter then the women. Unless we are chasing some tail. ;D
NICE PIC

who do you think teaches those bucks to be elusive and smart if not for the old grey faced does?
the bucks hit and run like men and leave the females to raise the young.so as is the case usually, the bucks cant take any credit for how their offspring grow and mature .
Bucks are only as smart and elusive as the doe that raised it and taught it how to survive..

ooohhh yeah i'd gladly drag that bugger out. but i have a question. everybody gets so fired up about big racks; now who has a good reciepe for horns. i'm happy with a nice fat young buck with a legal set (in my area it has to have at least 3 points on one side) of horns anyday.

Nice buck for our area of the state. The real bruisers are all down around Bloody Mingo, and the Free State of Mcdowell.

yep tc,and ya cant take em cept with a bow.
frshwtr. i agree. im happy with a nice fat doe for the frezer.. i was just pointin out that he was a nice buck for these parts. i doubt he makes it to season less he gets to be more sneakin. wherehe was he could have easily been takin by a drunk redneck.
tc did you hear bout George who lives next door to Jerry in Jacksonburg gettin a 14 pt off lantz farm last season?

We're meat hunters too - not that we don't appreciate a great rack. I eat venison at least twice a week, so a couple deer in the freezer is great.
