Ive got and elevn point with a rack thats pretty much like that one. The only problem is his width. What they gain in height some times takes away from width.

Its the only buck in the missouri big buck record book that has a negative 2 1/2 in tip to tip spread. This definately is a differnt buck. It scored 145 2/8 boone and crocket. Can you imagine what it would have scored if it would have opened up.

The average weight on 8 pointers are 200 to 220. 2 yr olds average 160 to 180. fawns about 50 to 70 They really put the weight on after there first yr. Crops around here are corn and soy beans. Lots of oaks all types. Plenty of hay for feed in the winter they definately are abundant around these parts.

I need to quit shooting them when they are so young. Could be a new world record. What was bad about the nice 11 was he was only three yrs old his mass wasnt what i was looking for but he had to be culled i dint want that type of gene breeding the does around here. I want them opened like the heavy nine in the pics. He couldnt clean his antlers on the trees very well. And because of this he is sporting 12 in brow tines as well.

I will have to lease some more ground so i can give you guys a chance at one of those types of bucks. Some days you will see tons of does and small bucks. And then useually about a week before the rut the big boys start hunting them does. Thats were most deerhunters fail. They are looking all season for the bucks. I tell ya you find the does and just wait. The does are key to killing large bucks. You find the does core home and the bucks come to them. Its not turkey hunting. The reverse applies mother nature makes the bucks go on the hunt. So find your does and wait then be choosie about what you shoot. Let the small ones walk. What a lot of hunters find is that they will put out minerals and salt and feed these deer. To try and make these bucks monsters. Thats all good and fine but just when every thing looks like they will take a big buck they up and disappear. And they are there scratching there heads. Well i have a big group of does staked out. And mother nature get these brutes moving where do you think they are going to go. Remember this they wont eat or sleep when in pursuit of does. So the big bucks that old boy is grooming for his wall disappears. where do you think he went. Well ill tell you right to the herd of does your setting on. And then you put that buck on your wall. Its just about how much patients you have to put that buck on your wall. And the ability to find these doe core areas. I do it on a regular bases. Its not a fluck this is fact.

I'm with you on that DH.....I know where both the does and the bucks hang out......the bucks will def come to the does, problem is that with so many does, the big bucks usually don't have to go far, and then they are usually tied up for a day!
