ty. the story..he lost this bucks trail no blood no nothin next day hes out looking again still no sign so he kneels down and prays for god to help him get on the track of him(he is a serious hunter and this would of upset him to take a life of an animal just to waste or lose it) well he gets done talkin to god and he takes a path and this buck for some reason was in a opposite direction i think he said, but he finally found the buck he got.RIGHT BEHIND A CHURCH so this is why he got named prayerbuck:)

Thats a unique rack and a beautiful mount. Looks real pretty on the wall and I bet he is admired plenty while he hangs there. Must say though, that the story was a good one and very Redneckish ;D ...I mean, big bucks and churches, sounds like a typical Eastern hunt, LOL! Thanks for showing him to us!

PB....I had the same thing happen to me.....while In Tn. i shot a big bodied 8 pointer with my bow......really bad shot.....he went down right there....stayed a while...got up ran into a field..went down again....i thought ok....I still got him. Wrong!!!! He got up again and ran off. Dad nad I tracked him till dark. Not much blood at all. Next morning I was there at daylight....could not find a drop of blood anywhere. After a while a I knelt down and asked for some help. I went on lookin but nothing.....as I gave up and headed to the truck I found a set of tracks where the left rear leg was draggin abit......followed it for near a 1/2 mile......into a thicket....walked right up on that buck......he was 1/4'rd away from me lookin right at me. I noched another arrow and let it fly. he ran off maybe 50 feet and piled up. I knelt again and gave thanks. He hung for years on my wall, then I lost him when the house burnt. Tell "him"........I know how he feels about having that animal. I was more proud of that buck than any I have ever taken before or since. Congrats, nice buck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
