This Honey Cinnamon bear was taken by hunting partner back in 2005. We went to Alberta to hunt spring bear and he scored on this beauty. The outfitter said it was the nicest looking color phase he's ever seen. Pretty impressive being that he's been doing it for over 25 years.

Around 200lbs. Wasn't big at all but color phases usually aren't cause they get shot as soon as someone sees them.

That is an awesome bear!! I've had a chance at a cinnimon, and a blonde but I just wanted to shoot it with the bow and they never did come in close enough. That is an awesome bear!

what exactly does ""color phase bear mean?

It means that they are not black. Hence black bears. Others colors are blonde, cinnamon, chocolate and I might have missed one or two. Maybe Cattrax knows better than I do. Obviously this Honey colored one. Which I've never seen till this one.

They can range any where from all white to jet black, when they say color phase its a black bear that isn't black like the normal black bear. Some places in Canada have alot of color phase bears and others just have mostly blacks. If any of you have ever watched Jim Shockeys program you will see he mostly shoots black phase bears.
